Shamrock and Shanks' Twin Relationship
The chapter refutes that Shamrock represents the senior sibling in his fraternal bond with his twin brother Shanks. The bond between these two explains their similar looks because they come from the same Figarland family tree.

Shamrock's Cerberus-Infused Sword
Shamrock possesses a sword that transformed into a Zoan-based form after consuming a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit which grants it the supernatural abilities of Cerberus from Greek mythology. The sword’s fighting power surpasses its original attributes because of this enhancement which makes it evolve into a force capable of showing great strength when fighting.

Confrontation with Prince Loki
Shamrock engages Prince Loki of Elbaf in battle by utilizing his sword which draws power from Cerberus along with the Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit. The attacker aims to force Loki into joining the Holy Knights which are backed by World Government authorities. By seeing the looks of Shamrocks, Loki asks whether he is related to Shanks. Shamrocks tells Loki that Shanks is his younger brother who grew up apart. He says that Shanks was even returned to Mary Joise but after that, he choose to be among the lower world and choose the life of the filthy pirates.

Loki gives an evil smile thinking that now both the brothers are his eternal rivals and he vows revenge for his animal friends to Gunko and Shamrocks. Shamrocks asks Loki whether he is threatening him with an angry look however Gunko stops him. Shamrocks understoods that Loki will never accept their proposal of becoming the God Knights, rather he would choose to die other than join them.
Misidentification and Luffy's Reaction
Several Elbaf guards view Shamrock as Shanks because his appearance matches Shanks exactly when the attack unfolds. The guards from Elbaf inform Luffy and his crew members about an attack on Loki by someone they identify as “Shanks”. Because he understands Shanks’ personality well Luffy finds it difficult to believe the news about the mention.
