- Luffy to have his strongest foe in the Elbaph Arc
One Piece Manga is currently headed to the Elbaph Arc, where the Strawhat Pirates along with Vegapunk Lilith and Jewelry Bonney reach the Elbaph Island of the Giants after escaping the Egghead Vegapunk’s laboratory and the Marines. In the One Piece Manga Chapter 1130, Oda sensei confirms that the Strawhats have reached Elbaph Island and Luffy meets a mysterious and huge giant imprisoned in the forests of Elbaph. On introduction he introduced himself as Sun God however, he is Loki – the prince of Elbaph and the younger son of the Late Elbaph King Harald.
Loki is claimed to be imprisoned for the crime of killing his father to attain his devil fruit powers and the throne. In the conversation between Luffy and Loki, Loki states that he knows the Yonko Red-Haired Shanks by saying that he left Elbaph just now. Luffy insists Loki tell more about Shanks how they know each other and where exactly Shanks is right now.
Loki’s hate for Shanks
When on asking Loki states Shanks is a coward pirate which makes Luffy angry and he uses Gear 4 on Loki to be more thoughtful of the words he uses for Shanks. Luffy admires and respects Shanks a lot as all One Piece fans know, however, Loki seems to have vengeance against Shanks and his pirate crew.

To be more knowledgeable on this, the people of Elbaph are not likely to accept Loki as their king as he killed their beloved king Harald who wished Elbaph to be in peace and harmony rather than to fight wars. And the Island of Elbaph is the territory of the Yonko Shanks. By looking at all these things, maybe Shanks is the reason for Loki being imprisoned for his crimes. This may be the main reason behind the people of Elbaph respecting and loving Shanks so much. And this will also be an accurate for Loki having a grudge against Shanks as he has being imprisoned for six long years.
