Madara Uchiha is a shinobi legend as well as one of the most popular and recognizable characters within the Naruto anime series, known for great strength and unparalleled fighting powers. But if he were given the power of the ten-tails, then he’s not unlimited. Most of the characters can compete with Madara at his best and blow it if he were to receive the complete Ten-Tails’s power. Let us discuss a few of the great personalities who could even have a puncher’s chance against Madara, but completely flake when he did get the strength of the Ten-Tails.
1. Hashirama Senju

Hashirama, being the First Hokage, is probably the only shinobi who could fight Madara head-to-head most of the time. Hashirama and Madara were at odds with each other in the old days, and their epic battles have become a momentous event in the history of the ninjas. The immense chakra storage of Hashirama and the fact that he could access Sage Mode and Wood Release placed him at a distinct advantage during early battles with Madara. He continued till he had received somewhat serious damage due to his healing powers and the Wood Release techniques were simply diametrically opposing Madara’s Sharingan.
Hashirama is incredibly powerful, but with the Ten-Tails, Madara’s power goes up exponentially. Everything chakra and power gained from the Ten-Tails turn Madara godlike in power, something even Hashirama’s most powerful techniques could not even touch. Having bested Madara once, Hashirama was the only one who could rival his strength and endurance if he became the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki.
2. Naruto Uzumaki (Six Paths Sage Mode)

Naruto acquired Six Paths Sage Mode, and it made him one of the strongest shinobi on earth. He was very fast, incredibly strong, and impossible to defeat; along with the powers of Truth-Seeking Orbs and Nine-Tails’ chakra, he became a challenge to many people, even Madara. He would survive for such a long time by tapping his vast reserve of chakra. The Rasengan he could deliver using Six Paths chakra was a lot stronger than the standard version. It is a perfect strategy fight accompanied by the help of his friends and others, thus winning against Madara if it weren’t for the Ten-Tails.
Once Madara has the Ten-Tails, his strength is so far beyond Naruto’s that Naruto can’t do anything about it alone. Madara’s Ten-Tails’ chakra makes him all-powerful, immortal and has devastating powers. Naruto is incredibly powerful, but he can’t even begin to be compared to a Madara using the full force of the Ten-Tails. Even with Naruto’s incredible powers, he and Sasuke at their strongest would probably have a great shot at battling against Madara as he wields the Ten-Tails.
3. Might Guy (Eighth Gate of Death)

He might unleash unimaginable physical strength upon an individual with the Eighth Gate of Death, especially if he has his battle against the strongest nin from a world at the climax of the Fourth Great Ninja War against Madara. He could give nearly a fatal blow to Madara, just to prove how much damage Guy could do by unleashing power to its full capacity through the Eighth Gate. Raw power is all Guy could show against Madara; however, the fact that Madara had to get back on his defense proved him right, for he did indeed fight with great spirit and willpower.
The weakness of Guy’s final move is that it comes at a drastic cost to his body and chakra. The power Guy would be able to inflict incredible damage on Madara, but it would not be enough to defeat Madara when he has the Ten-Tails. Madara with the Ten-Tails would not easily be defeated since he would possess regenerative abilities and near immortality, making it unlikely that Guy could strike him fatally. Even with all this might, it would not leave room for Guy to land those finishing blows from which Madara may or may not recover.
4. Sasuke Uchiha (Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, Rinnegan)

Sasuke’s Rinnegan and Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan would rank him among the most powerful ninja in existence. This also puts him on the same level as Madara, because Madara’s knowledge in ninjutsu has surpassed what Sasuke knows to date. With a mastery over the ninjutsu of space and time, as well as his skill in calling down Chidori and Susanoo, Sasuke’s potential in countering Madara, such as strength and speed equality to Madara’s, allows Sasuke to also counter some of Madara’s techniques, as with Amenotejikara to swap in the space. Being the first to create the chakra and many ninja jutsu that ever existed in his time, Hagoromo was a feather from where a nightmare ninja came for he mastered Six Paths Senjutsu. With the power of the Rinnegan he possessed and with an amount of chakra enormous in size, having dominion over nature, and mastering space and time, Hagoromo would have taken the upper hand even without Ten-Tails against Madara. He was, after all, the original owner of the Ten-Tails’ chakra and had the energy of the Six Paths to use against Madara’s move.
Hagoromo is one of the few beings who can have a chance at defeating Madara, even at the end when he becomes the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki. His knowledge of the Ten-Tails and his mastery over chakra would give him a good time in the battle against Madara. Hagoromo probably could outlast Madara due to his spiritual and physical strength as well as his ability to handle chakra at a divine level.
6. Kaguya Ōtsutsuki

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was an extremely powerful being and of course one of the very few before consuming the Ten-Tails, who would have even been at par with Madara. Kaguya was the first one to have possessed the chakra of the Ten-Tails; her power is far superior to any shinobi alive. With her ability to manipulate dimensions, her vast chakra reserves, and her control over the power of the Ten-Tails, Kaguya is one of the few characters who could easily overpower Madara in his normal form. Her mastery over chakra and her almost infinite reserves would allow her to challenge Madara with ease.
Once Madara acquires the power of Ten-Tails, one of the few people who can defeat him is Kaguya, since she is the source of Ten-Tails’ chakra; hence, her energy is far beyond any other person. She can control dimensions and reality itself. Madara may be a deadly opponent with the Ten-Tails, but raw power, agility, and knowledge of the Ten-Tails provide Kaguya with an edge that Madara cannot cross. Madara Uchiha is bad enough without the Ten-Tails.
Hashirama Senju, Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Might Guy would stand a pretty good chance of beating him when he was at his best, but they’d lose to the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki version of Madara. Only a few, like Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, can actually counter Madara when he takes in the Ten-Tails. Madara, with the power of the Ten-Tails, is almost unbeatable, but these ancient and powerful beings still have the potential to defeat even his godly form.
