The Japanese Anime, One Piece is currently heading to its final saga, and in the Manga chapter of One Piece, the crew has reached Elbaph Island where more revelations are being made. Fans and manga readers of One Piece are going through many theories that relate to the story and some of them may actually be true only the upcoming story may prove that.
Shanks being the Celestial Dragon
A major theory of One Piece claims that Shanks is a celestial dragon. In episode 887, Shanks meets the Five Elders (Gorosei) in Marie Jois, the place of celestial dragons. It is not possible for a pirate to enter the island where the highest government authority lives, but Shanks enters Marie Jois and even talks with the Gorosei. Saturn says that they are allowing this just because that is Shanks. This hints at the possibility that Shanks may be a celestial dragon.
Shanks may be a dual-character
Viewers of One Piece believe that Shanks may be a dual character, a twin brother who may be evil. Childhood story of Shanks was never shown, Shanks was found as a orphan in a treasure box by the Roger Pirates. However, the story hasn’t brought any light on this.
Red haired pirates being the holy knights
The Holy Knights are known as God’s Knights. They work for the World Government in restoring peace and law in the Holy Land of Mary Joise. They are responsible for upholding the law and passing the sentences. Figarland Garling of the Figarland family is the Commander of the Holy Knights. A major one-piece theory is that the Red-haired pirates are the holy knights as the silhouette of holy knights shown in One Piece resembles the members of Shanks Pirates.
Maybe this is the reason for Shanks being respected by World government officials even after being a pirate. Along with Shanks, Mihawk is also expected to be one among the Holy Knights since they have exceptional swordsmenship.
Mystery of Nami’s Childhood and Past
Nami’s real childhood and family was never revealed in One Piece. Nami was found as an abandoned child from a war zone by Bellemere along with Nojiko. Several theories explain that Nami may be a princess or a sort of ancient weapon. Oda dropped a hint at this in the Alabasta Arc where Vivi gets shocked by seeing the navigational skills of Nami by predicting the weather in Grand line. She even said that there was royals who has the power to predict the weather.
Joyboy's connection with One Piece
It is hinted that the Joyboy’s heartbeat may be the key to the One Piece Treasure. Shanks was seen to be not taking any action for years to pursue and acquire One Piece. However, right after Luffy unlocks his Gear 5 form Shanks asks Beckmann for their way to acquire One Piece. Luffy awakes the Gear 5 power with the heartbeat sound of Joyboy which is said to be the drums of liberation. Maybe this is what Shanks had waited for so long to get the treasure.
Blackbeard’s real identity
It was said in the series that no individual can eat two devil fruits and acquire two different powers but Teach currently has the power of two devil fruits – the Yami Yami no Mi and the Gura Gura no Mi. A popular One Piece theory is that Blackbeard was born with three heads that allows him to have various souls. This theory can be quite true as the jolly Roger of the Blackbeard Pirates confirms this with three heads on right, middle and left.
A man with a burnt scar
Hinokizu, a man with a burnt scar is one of the mysterious characters in One Piece. In the series, it was said that he has the road ponegliff that was once in the Fishmann Island. Many pirates and even the Yonkos are in search of him as he is the final path to reach the Laugh Tale. This man may have a connection with Ohara as the burnt scar relates to that, maybe he would have stolen the ponegliff that the Archeologists of Ohara have been studying. The character is said to travel in an all-black ship.
