One Piece Anime Hiatus, 6 months break, Egghead to resume in 2025
The most popular anime One Piece written by Eichiro Oda and animated by Toei Animation is currently airing with 1000+ episodes with Egghead Island Arc which is the first arc of the Final Saga of One Piece. A major announcement was made through a press meeting that the anime will be taking a break and will resume airing the Egghead Arc in April 2025.
One Piece being the longest-running anime has never taken this much longer gap in telecasting episodes which makes the viewers worried. The break may be set for the animators to observe and improve the animation quality and visuals that need to be improved in the series.
During this time, a Special version of the edited “Fishman Island” arc will be aired with improved animations and sound quality than the original version. Starting on October 27, it will showcase the reunion of Strawhats after the time skip in a better way. However, no official announcement has been given regarding the delay in the One Piece manga that reveals the story of Elbaf.
Also, starting next Sunday the adventures of One Piece during the Sabaody Archipelago Arc which is titled “One Piece Fan Letter” will be aired during the regular time of One Piece Episode release. One Piece is celebrating its 25th anniversary and to honor this the anime is releasing this Fan Letter anime edition covering the stories that happened during the time skip when the straw hats were separated.
The break of the Big 3 anime, One Piece is seen as a crucial move at this time, especially when Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War has started airing. During the return of the anime in April 2025, we can expect the popular Gen Z anime Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer to release their next seasons that are highly expected.
