Jujutsu Kaisen Manga: Much awaited comeback of Nobara, hints at Gojo’s return
Nobara joins the Final battle with Yuji and Megumi
Now the trio of JJK, Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara can be seen together fighting to win the King of the Curses, Sukuna but still the storyline does miss the character Gojo Satoru who was the most anticipated in the whole anime series. Fans very much want Gojo to make a return to the story just like Nobara did. However, this remains a question as the author may not bring back two dead characters at the end of the anime just to hold up the viewers.
In chapter 267 of Jujutsu Kaisen, an important revelation was made that the last finger of Sukuna was not eaten by Yuta which was hinted at in the previous storyline. The major twist lies where the finger of Sukuna that Rika ate to give Yuta for accessing the Shine technique now belongs to the main character, Itadori Yuji.
Sukna’s real finger is still safe inside a Shrine protected by sorcery threads. Gojo always wanted to secure the finger as he thought that it would result in major consequences to have relations with the King of the curses.
The return of Nobara makes a great contribution in the final battle against Sukuna, with her resonance technique she directly hits the nail to Sukuna’s finger damages directly his soul. This damage made Sukuna a lot weaker than before in the battle which may worsen in the upcoming chapters.
Gojo to return just like Nobara?
The hopes of fans of Gojo’s arrival have tremendously grown after the release of chapter 267. Gojo’s death was not portrayed well and the fans claimed that his death was not justified enough.
This is possible as Gojo’s split-up body was stitched and connected with Yuta’s soul. But still, his body has a little of his soul in it just like Geto had his soul when Kenjaku was controlling his body. This may also be a hint as in Shibuya Arc when Gojo talks to Geto, his soul responds from his body that was occupied by Kenjaku. Yuta has now lost his every connection with Rika, however, we can still hope for the return of both of the characters at the end of the series.
Is Yuji to die at the end of the series?
The author of the Anime Gege once opened up in an interview that he has two options for ending the series. One storyline includes that among the four major characters Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, and Gojo he will kill one character and the other three characters will survive after the final battle. This option matches with the current storyline as Gojo is dead and Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara are reunited and they may defeat Sukuna and finish up the battle.
The second option that the author mentioned was the exact alternative of the first one which includes killing three major characters and keeping one among the four alive. This theory also matches with the recent Manga chapter as Nobara is back and maybe Megumi and Yuji both will die at the end of the final battle. Gojo is already dead and we can expect the sacrificial death of Megumi and Yuji in their fierce battle against the King of the Curses.
Most of the fan theories spark the death of the main character, Yuji, at the end of the series. The author Gege has already confirmed that the anime series will end in the next five chapters. Yuji’s death will be justified, as it is written the character is always shown to die from the first season of the series. Itadori died several times but still he came back. Maybe the reason behind his return was to defeat the king of the curses by himself. Back in season one of the series Yuji’s grandfather’s last words were that he should save others and no matter what he can die surrounded by the people he loves. This may be the biggest hint at the death of the character.
“You’re a strong kid, so help people. It doesn’t have to be all the time. Just whenever you can. You may feel lost. Don’t expect gratitude. Just help them. When it’s your time to go, make sure you’re surrounded by others. Don’t end up like me.”
Fans are almost holding up this theory and awaiting Gojo’s arrival as it is possible that his body was completely healed by Yuta’s reversed cursed technique.
