The highlight of the Jujutsu Kaisen stage was the teaser visual for the Culling Game arc. One of the most awaited story arcs is the Culling Game arc, which contains the storyline after the catastrophic Shibuya Incident. In the arc, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and friends are thrown into a dead battle royale initiated by Kenjaku. The plot gets even more into the changing dynamics of the cursed energy and the stakes of their supernatural world. Though there is no official word regarding the release date of Culling Game, the teaser confirmed to fans that the next chapter of the anime is already underway. The other major announcement made was that of a compilation film that covers the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, and this is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on May 30, 2025.
Hidden Inventory Arc Movie Compilation in 2025
The film covers one of the most life-altering backstories in the show, namely the bond and eventual turn away between Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto while at Tokyo Jujutsu High. This storyline follows how they protect Riko Amanai, the Star Plasma Vessel, and ends with their fateful collision with Toji Fushiguro, otherwise called the Sorcerer Killer. Fans who experienced those parts in Season 2 will get to relive this on the big screen with added cinematic touches that MAPPA is known for.
