In the recent manga chapter of One Piece 1131, Luffy and Loki share a heated conversation where he confirms that they are in the Land of Elbaph now. Loki seems to have an earlier connection with Shanks in rough terms. Luffy gets to know from Loki that he has been imprisoned for six long years. Loki asks Luffy to set him free from imprisonment and he will wipe out any pirate crew he wants, as an agreement between the pirates. Loki summons his giant beast subordinate to attack Luffy if he doesn’t accept the agreement.
In the meantime, Loki takes Shanks’s name and calls him “Coward of a Pirate” which makes Luffy angry and he uses Gear 4th power on Loki. Further Luffy asks Shanks why he has arrived at Elbaph or else he is still out there.
What is the connection between Shanks and Loki?
Loki seems to hate Shanks which proves that there are high chance that Shanks is the reason behind Loki being imprisoned even after being the strongest one in Elbaph. Loki also claims himself as the “Sungod” and maybe Shanks might have defeated the Elbaph prince Loki that made him a Yonko of the sea.
Is Loki the behind Shanks becoming a Yonko?
Shanks as a pirates always had a greater respect and recognition among the Marines which is something unusual for someone who hasn’t even been a warlord. During the Marineford war, the Marines agreed to stop the war on Shanks’ arrival. Shanks is also shown to have a good equation among the Five elders, where he was also to reach Mary Joise, a place where the Celestial Dragons live.
Connection between Sungod and Shanks
Loki was known as Sungod to the world and the World Government always hunted down the Sungod as a threat to the world connecting the hidden truth behind the void century. Of course, the World Government in One Piece seeks to erase the story of Nika – the mythical Sun God because it is dangerous to them. The World Government renamed and reclassified the Gomu Gomu no Mi Devil Fruit, originally known as the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, to mask its true intention of it.
