The seven Deadly Sins in Fullmetal Alchemist are referred to as homunculi which translates to a humanoid creature these are created by the “Father” who is the main antagonist of the series. The homunculi are the most powerful creatures in the series besides the “Father” and they are all named after the seven Deadly sins, Like the name of the sins each homunculus also represents the characteristics of the sins.
1. Lust
Lust is among the foremost powerful leaders in the homunculi and is often more intelligent than others. The flirty tone and her beautiful appearance make her the most unsuspecting member of the homunculi, lust remains two steps ahead in all the situation, apart from the extraordinary strength and agility, immortality, and high-speed regeneration that make her a formidable enemy. Her desire to live for her lust for blood causes her death ironically. In a fight between Lust and Mustang, she left Mustang to die in agony and pain of her “Ultimate Spear” attack but that’s what led to her death. Mustang is something of a womanizer and lust is the personification of the sin that makes men chase after her dead on her knees in front of a man.

2.Gluttony
Gluttony is not one of the intelligent members in the homunculi group who often depends on others for the mission. His abilities are more useful than his brains though, the ability to sense everything around from far away and his desire to consume endless amounts of anything make him a perfect place for the “Father” to eliminate his experiments. He is also a Failed attempt towards the creation of the “Gate of Truth” which helps him to trap his enemies in a different dimension. The fact that his death is not caused by the enemy but by his kind but how? you may ask by forcefully absorbed by Pride.
3. Sloth
Sloth is the laziest person which defines his name. He is the total representation of “no brains only brawns”. His famous line in the series is “what a pain” and he hates to do everything that it requires effort, but even though his name describes that he is lazy he is surprisingly the fastest member in the homunculi group. During the fight between the sloth and Armstrong and his soldiers along with Mr.Siggs, Armstrong and Siggs were doing their best to wear off the philosopher’s stone power Sloth eventually gives up on living since it takes too much effort to live.
4. Greed
Greed is one of the strongest members in the homunculi who can manipulate the carbon particles in his body making his skin extremely hard for the enemy to pierce through, unlike other Homunculi who always stay loyal to their “Father” Greed is a disappointment to his “Father” his desire to wanting everything was far greater than his obedience to his “Father”. Unlike other homunculi greed sacrificed his life to protect his friends from “Father” and what makes it Ironic is that a sin that can’t be satisfied by anything realizes that all he ever wanted was a good number of friends and died for them.
5. Envy
Envy is just like lust with a sadistic and cruel personality. Just like other homunculi his ability to regenerate makes him a formidable enemy. He also can shapeshift; He often tries to shapeshift into the closest person that the enemy is related to and kill them in that form makes him the cruelest person. Envy hates humans throughout the series he always looks down on humans as a lowly creature. In the series when Eric points out the fact that envy is jealous of human relationships and emotions to envy, and envy hates himself for being envious of the humans that he always hated he committed suicide.
6. Pride
Pride is one of the strongest members in the homunculi who can move around the shadows and spy on his enemy or attack them also regardless of the range but only in darkness. He is a narcissistic person who doesn’t even care about his kind but is only loyal to the “Father”. He is also the only homunculi that doesn’t die in the series. He often looks at himself as the greatest being and tends to look down on humans. He was being spared by a human (which is the main character of the series Edward ) but was stripped of his power and reduced to an even weaker form of the creature that he considered inferior.
7. Wrath
Wrath’s powers and abilities mostly depend on his own and he can’t regenerate and immortality like other homunculi but still, his strength and speed are exceptional. He is the greatest swordsman in the series, and he was able to cut through greed’s carbon defense. His main ability is the “Ultimate eye” which allows him to predict the enemy’s next move. Wrath is the symbolization of one person’s anger that exists just to take it out on another person just for satisfaction. Later in the show wrath is killed by Scar, a serial killer who swore to take his revenge by killing the state alchemists because his nation was destroyed by the state alchemists later on in the show, he overcomes his anger realizing there is a far bigger threat than state alchemists. It is ironic because a person who is driven by pure anger is killed by a man who overcame his anger.
