Snake Hashira: Iguro Obanai
The Snake Hashira fought till the end of his life. Obanai fought Muzan and did great damage and gave Muzan a hard time to regenerate with his Snake Breathing. Even after he lost his eyes during one of Muzan’s attacks he was able to see and attack Muzan using the Transparent world. Obanai protected Tanjiro from Muzan. After the Death of Muzan, Obanai soon faced his death due to exhaustion and the impact of unlocking the Transparent world.
Insect Hashira: Kocho Shinobu
The fight between Shinobu and Douma made the greatest impact on Muzan’s fall. Unlike Akaza and Kokushibo, Douma won’t lose his will to live so it was difficult to defeat him. Shinobu’s sacrifice helped Kanae and Inosuke to defeat Douma. Shinobu is not the strongest fighter but her hatred towards demons made her even become a bait to kill Demons.
Mist Hashira: Muichiro Tokito
Muichiro is the first person to defeat a Uppermoon all by himself. During that fight, Muichiro unlocked The Transparent World. Muchiro is the first one to change the color of the sword to red after Tanjiro and it gave Kokushibo a disadvantage. Everyone who fought along with him was able to gain the ability to change the color of the sword. Muchiro’s sacrifice made the other Hashiras defeat Kokushibo and cleared their way to defeat Muzan.
Love Hashira: Mitsuri Kanroji
Mitsuri was stronger than any average grown man. Her brutal strength and her Loving breathing helped to fight Muzan until the sun rose. Mitsuri was able to rip off Muzan’s one of the arm just by Brute force. After Delaying Muzan till the sun rose and made him disintegrate in thin air, Mitsuri died in the arms of Obanai and confessed her love for him in her final Moments.
Stone Hashira: Gyomei Himejima
Gyomei is the strongest Hashira of all. During the fight against Kokushibo, Gyomei was able to unlock a transparent world. After defeating Kokushibo, he swore to kill Muzan before his death. Gyomei and other Hashiras put their life on the line to delay Muzan from his escape until the sun rises. After Muzan’s death, Gyomei died due to exhaustion and the unlocking of the Transperant world.
Flame Hashira: Kyojuro Rengoku
Rengoku’s death at the end of the Mugen train arc was unexpected and also very emotional. The purpose of Rengoku to protect the people on his watch was done at the cost of his life. The fight between Rengoku and Akaza was intense and the Flame Hashira tried everything to save Akaza from the sun. The end of the Flame Hashira gave Tanjiro the purpose to kill Akaza and to train hard to protect his loved ones.
The only surviving ones from the fight amongst Muzan are Sanemi, Giyuu, and Tengen. Unlike Tengen, Sanemi and Giyuu unlocked the Transparent world during the fight. The person who unlocked the Transparent world will die before even turning 25. In the end, Tengen might be the only Hashira who lived his full life after the death of Muzan.
