Demon Slayer is a popular Gen Z anime known for its story, character representation, and animation. The anime adaptation is based on the manga Kimetsu No Yaiba. One of the popular arcs in the manga is the Infinite Castle arc, which contains the start and end of the war against Demons and Demon Slayer.
Mitusuri and Obanai vs Nakime
During the Infinite Castle arc, Mitsuri and Obanai fought Nakime, who had total control over the castle. Every attack made to defeat Nakime was easily blown away by her manipulation of the castle to defend herself from the Demon Slayers and catch them off guard. With this technique of Nakime, it was difficult for both of them to land a single attack on her. Later Yushiro was able to take control of Nakime and manipulate the Castle. This made Muzan realize that he couldn’t fight the Demon Slayers so he killed Nakime by crushing her head and preventing Yushiro from using the Castle against him.
Zenitsu vs Kaigaku
Zenitusu was one of the few to fight against an upper moon alone. Zenitus saw Kaigaku as a brother from another mother since they both studied under former Thunder Hashira Jigoro Kuwajima. When Zenitsu comes to know that his master’s death was because of Kaigaku he becomes furious. Kaigaku allows himself to turn into a demon by Kokushibo, which makes Jigoro commit seppuku (a form of suicide) as a punishment for his pupil’s mistake. Kaigaku knows all forms of thunder breathing but Zenitsu only knows one. In the end, Zenitsu used a technique that he created on its own to defeat Kaigaku.
Tanjiro and Giyu vs Akaza
Tanjiro found himself in a situation to face Akaza again who killed the Flame Hasira Rengoku. Tanjiro swore to kill Akaza along with the water Hashira Giyu. Akaza is the upper moon 3 which means he is the top 3 strongest demons of Muzan. Akaza is different from other demons, most demons die if they get their head cut off but Akaza can still heal and fight back on his own because of this power Tanjiro and Giyu struggled against Akaza. The fight with Tanjiro triggered Akaza’s memory of his beloved wife and his master which made him realize why he wanted to become powerful. Eventually, Akaza loses his will to live as a demon and destroys himself for his loved one.
Kanao, Inosuke and shinobu vs Douma
Shinobu’s fight against Douma resulted in her death. When Kanao came to know that Douma consumed her sister she became furious and went on a fight right away. Insouke joins the fight later to protect Kanao. Kanao’s fighting technique and her speed to react to against attack made Douma surprised. However, as the fight goes on, Douma begins to feel uneasy;
Shinobu injected herself with a dose of poison that could surely kill any type of demon that consumed her. In the end, Kanao and Inosuke were able to decapitate Douma along with the help of Shinobu.
Muichiro, Genya, Sanemi, and Gyomei vs Kokushibo
Kokushibo is one of the loyal members of Muzan. The fight between the Demon Slayers and Kokushibo was very intense. Muichiro was able to achieve the “red sword” during the fight and was able to land a solid blow on Kokushibo. Genya tried to control Kokushibo by eating a part of Kokushibo’s demon flesh but due to the enormous power of that demon, Genya was only able to partially control him. When Kokushibo transforms himself into a monster to gain immense power he is disgusted by his appearance, Which makes him think what was his motivation to become the strongest. While he was distracted in his thoughts, Gyomei was able to crush Kokushibo’s head with his fail. The fight ends with the death of Muichiro and Genya along with Kokushibo.
Demon Slayers vs Muzan
Tanjiro and other Hashira who survived the fight against the Upper Moons fought against the Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji. Muzan was the formidable Enemy for them even with their “Transparen world” and Tanjiro’s sun breathing they still struggled against him. The Demon king has 7 hearts and 5 brains even if the demon slayers managed to decapitate Muzan he would still survive so the only way to kill him is to stall the fight till the sun shows up. During the fight Tanjiro was able to master all forms of Sun Breathing along with the help of Hashiras and Tamayo’s poison injected in Muzan they were able to stall Muzan till the sun rose. Muzan figured that he would die if he was exposed to the sun too much, so he took Tanjiro as a host and that’s when Demon King Tanjiro was born who was able to conquer the sun and is technically an invincible enemy to the human race.
Demon King Tanjiro vs Demon Slayers
After Tanjiro became the Demon king he lost his sense around himself and tried to kill his comrades and even his sister but Giyu was able to protect Nezuko and Zenitsu from
Tanjiro’s attacks. Inosuke refused to fight against Tanjiro stating that he would never attack his friend. Kanao arrives at the situation with the medicine that can turn demons into humans. She uses her Flower breathing to get close to Tanjiro to inject the medicine which causes Kanao to lose her eyesight partially. Meanwhile, Tanjiro was fighting a mental battle against Muzan to gain his consciousness. At last, He was able to gain control over his body by repelling Muzan along with the help of the medicine which was invented by Tamayo.
