The Bleach Thousand Year Blood War – The Conflict was highly expected not only for the battle between the Quincy King, Yhwach, and Soul Reapers but also for the return of Aizen Sosuke, the most hyped Antagonist of the series. Aizen was imprisoned under the Soul Society for his crime of betraying the laws of Seireitei.
Aizen's Plan to become the king of Soul Society
Aizen’s true aim was to attain the power of Hogyoku and defeat the Soul King, overthrowing himself as the next King of the Soul Society. To achieve this Aizen acquired Hueco Mundo and gained the support of Arrancars and Espadas for his fight against Soul Society. However, Aizen gets defeated by Ichigo after he masters his Zanpakuto through temporary superpowers that help Urahara seal Aizen. After this battle, Aizen Sosuke was kept sealed in Muken which is the eighth and final level of the prison in Seireitei. Muken is the Central Great Underground prison that is for the notorious criminals of the Soul Society.
Aizen - the trump card against Yhwach
In the fight against Yhwach in Bleach Thousand Year Blood War , Soul Society suffers a major cause resulting in the death of Yamamoto, Captain Commander of the Gotei 13. To strengthen the fight of Soul Reapers against Quincies, Shunsui Kyoraku the current Captain Commander of Soul Society approaches Aizen to use him as a major trump card in the battle. As the Commander of Gotei 13, he was left with no option when the Seireitei trembled as the Soul King was dead.
Shunsui brought three keys to unlock Aizen’s particular seals the higher-ups of Seireitei gave permission. To respond to him, Kyoraku used one of the keys to unlock the mouth seal of Aizen to communicate with him without spiritual pressure. With just one key unlock, Kyoraku witnesses the presence of Aizen that shocks him, he then unlocks the seal to his left eyes and ankles.
The two share an exchange of words, where Kyoraku asks him whether he wants to come out of Muken. Aizen also gets to know that he cannot kill Kyoraku as the keys of his bindings, the keys of Muken are engraved in the heart of Shunsui. If he gets killed the Muken will forever be lost in darkness. Shunsui reveals it was the decision of Central 46 to ensure the safety of Soul Society in the future from Aizen.
Shunsui gets a unique chair to bring back Aizen to Soul Society, and in turn, Aizen asks him why should he think that he will fight for Soul Society after all that is a place that he wanted to destroy. Shunsui clarifies that he is not willing to let Aizen follow his orders as they both share similar interests.
Return of Aizen brings back the Aura of Bleach
The best part is the moment highlighting Aizen’s Spiritual Pressure when a Soul Reaper tries to touch him, his fingers burn, just like the power of his Zanpakuto, showing that no binding can eradicate his spiritual pressure and can only surpass it.
The episode was beyond the expectations of the fans when it was the Return of a powerful Antagonist, and the writing, animations, and visuals were perfectly brought into vision in the Bleach Thousand Year Blood War – The Conflict.
The Episode 3 of the Bleach Thousand Year Blood War titles “The Dark Arm” also reveals a major plot on who is to become the next Soul King of the Soul Society to stop Yhwach.
